Celebrating Our 20th Anniversary

Darren and I will have been married for 20 years come this November. It seems like the time has just flown by. I really feel loved and I couldn't imagine living this life with any one else by my side. We've been extremely blessed and we love spending time with our family and friends.

Hawaii

I surprised Darren with a 3 night stay in Hawaii. This beautiful shot was from our Hotel room. There's nothing like Hawaii. The smells, the sounds, the people, it's paradise on earth.

We also found ourselves going to a Veteran's Ceremony at a cemetary on Veteran's Day. It was a great day to remember our Veterans.

The rainbow was a wonderful addition to a wonderful get-away! I recommend it to everyone.

Family

I've had such a positive respone from my blog and a lot of you have told me you have subscribed. That's great! I promise this won't be anything but a catchup-with-the-McKinsey's venue. I also realized how hard it is to keep people up with what's been going on with us because of everyone's busy schedules so hopefully this will help. You might learn more than you ever wanted to know. The picture is of Cory, Taylor and Hanna, all of them are living at our house at the present time. (Hanna is Darren's niece)

Kelly's Birthday

I'm stepping into the 40's this Saturday, the 3rd of November. I don't know why it feels like a leap. I've tried to ignore it but it doesn't matter, it's coming. Last year I had a wonderful surprise for my birthday. Nikki, my neice, put together an Amazing Race. We all raced around town collecting clues and completing challenges. And when I got to the finish there were the people I love the most waiting to surprise me with a game of Kelly Jeopardy. I had so much fun, I forgot to be depressed. We're keeping it quiet this year, just gonna have some dinner. So if you see me next Saturday don't forget to wish me Happy Birthday!

New puppy

Hanna and I were driving along and we saw this little puppy drinking from the gutter. We both said, "Ahhhh" and I pulled over and we picked her up. She is so adorable, as you can see, but we didn't have any intentions of keeping her until her cuteness took us over. We think she is a mix of pit bull and we don't know what else. We've decided to call her Brendle, Bren for short. So welcome our new addition to our home.

Trip to Africa

We just got back from a trip to DRC, Africa. We went to support our good friends the Lowery's and to do some projects in the small village of Kikongo. This was our second time to the Congo. We went with our friends the Payne's and my niece Nikki.

This little guy had to live at the hospital because his family couldn't afford to pay for his medical care.
