I know my posts seem to be getting shorter and shorter but that is only because our days are long and my mind gets really tired at the end of the day. This one didn't even get out in the evening until I woke this morning and decided I better keep it up.
Our day yesterday was just a travel day but not lacking in exploration. (We were traveling from Portland to Canada) We decided to drive into a neighborood in Seattle just to see what they had to offer. We happened upon this little restaurant called Smokin' Petes BBQ. It was a mighty fine pulled pork sandwich. Little did we know we were going to be making and discovering our own BTIEA foods.
We arrived at the border around 4:30 and we ended up having our car searched. We aren't quite sure what triggered them to pull us over but with Granny in the back seat we thought maybe she looked a little suspicious. We laughed later that the only bags they searched was Granny's dirty clothes bag. She said it served them right. We got a good laugh out of it.
We finally were released and drove into Abbotsford, Canada where our friends Faith and Murray Nickels live. We'll be staying at their home until Sunday while we explore the sites (and do laundry).
